War and Peace [1993]

Walking along on the banks of the river,
I was thinking about the past.
When man was safe, from his own race,
Thinking forever it would last.

Man lived on and ruled his live,

Until a day came by,

When he found the need, to compete,

With the life of another guy.

Chorus
Day by day this led to rivalry,
Between every man of humanity,
Then came a time for man to decide,
Between war and peace, War and Peace.

Man chose war as his only means,
To rise above all men,
He tried to prove that the shining sword,
Was mightier than the pen.

Chorus
Day by day this led to guns of steel,
Life became a dead mans deal,
Then came a time for man to decide,
Between war and peace, War and Peace.

So much was lost for a personal gain,
Was it of any use.
Could'nt anybody think about
What the common man would lose.

Chorus
Year by year so many lost their lives
Peace of mind, destroyed by war.
So before war destroyed his life
He decided, Lets Have Peace.

Composed - George Varghese
