August 1st, 2008 :: Destination Sven's Ranch
Sven has invited us to his Ranch. I can not wait to start out.
We will head out Friday right after work - roughly 5-ish.
Its about 4 hours from north east from Seattle.
In Sven's own words ...
"We're going to be able to eat lots of fresh fruit too... it's *really* good stuff when you buy along the road. Definitely swimming, probably some hiking and maybe even creek exploring. You guys can bring whatever you want & do whatever you want. If you want to camp out, just bring a sleeping bag and sleep under the stars! If you want to carve sticks, just bring a knife! If you want to build dams in the creek, just bring sandals!"
What we did???
We camped in tents, made egg and pancakes for Breakfast, Trekked to the Creek, Made a dam across the creek with fallen down tree trunks, carved sticks, ate sandwitches for lunch, went to town for grocery shopping, Walked the dogs - Sage, Pepper, Tracker and Ringo, took the horse Bonny to graze in the grass, Barbequed Chicken and Pork chops, Enjoyed the steamed corn and Baked beans prepared by Miriam and Sven's mom, Cut and ate the most DELICIOUS cake made by Sven's mom, Related scary and creepy stories ate at night with all lanterns out, slept under the stars and watched shooting stars and traced the Big Bear in the sky, Swam in the River, and so so much more.
